HIAB FRAMEWORKS visit

Last week, company HIAB organized the visit of the HIAB FRAMEWORKS installation and competence center in Meppel, Netherlands for its dealers.
Two-days visit was also attended by our sales team. They had the opportunity to look into the assembly hall, which operates on the principles of lean production, learn about production processes and get to know the specific technical solutions.
Modular system for faster assembly
HIAB FRAMEWORKS is a pre-fabricated, fully bolt-on system with a subframe and the necessary accessories to install Hiab cranes that fully match the specific chassis. This patented CE-certified installation package is supplied as the complet, constisting of the subframe, mounting kit, crane kit including pump, oil tank and support legs.
Assembly without further welding, connection only by screws
The complete system is delivered as a ready-to-install set for a specific truck and crane. Therefore, it minimizes the construction work of installers and reduces installation time by 50 to 75%. The system is then bolted using the enclosed mounting kit without the need for welding.
Currently, HIAB FRAMEWORKS is available for several HIAB crane models and for truck brands such as Volvo, Renault, Scania, DAF etc. In addition, it is used for certain Hiab crane types, hooklift Multilift and for 2-in-1 solution, eg. crane and hooklift on one chassis. A similar solution exists also for special T-cranes, called T-Bodies.
The advantages of HIAB FRAMWORKS can be summarized in several points:
- Increased frame rigidity
- Up to 40% more stability
- Less stabilizer span (while maintaining the same power)
- It is recommended to equip the crane with a “cyclone” oil tank located directly on the crane (it does not aerate, it saves weight and space because it is smaller, it is higher than the pump)
- Anti-slip coating for better grip
- Easy assembly without the need for further welding
