HIAB eX.142 HiPro on a building rooftop: when a crane must operate where you wouldn't normally expect it

Not every hydraulic loader crane operates on a truck. Proof of this is the HIAB eX.142 HiPro E-3 hydraulic loader crane, installed as a stationary unit on a building rooftop. The package also included a two-person work basket, enabling safe work at heights.

The customer chose a solution combining high lifting capacity with the ability to use a work platform for maintenance and service tasks in hard-to-reach areas. The crane is installed in a fixed, stationary configuration, allowing for efficient use directly at the operational site.

The HIAB eX.142 HiPro crane offers a lifting capacity of up to 2,650 kg at an outreach of 4.8 m. Even at its maximum working reach of 10.7 m, it can safely handle loads weighing up to 1,100 kg.

The installation also includes a work basket with a 200 kg capacity, designed for two people. Thanks to a gravity-based self-leveling system, it provides greater comfort and safety when working at heights.

This installation demonstrates the diverse applications of modern hydraulic loader cranes. Thanks to a wide range of accessories and customization options, they are also utilized in specialized industrial applications requiring a combination of load handling and safe personnel access to heights.
